Best Pools in Miami for a Summer Hangout

When you combine pool dips with tropical drinks, you've got the perfect antidote to a hot day. We've done the hard work for you when it comes to selecting the best pools in the city. All you have to do now is get dressed and choose a spot

The Setai, Miami Beach

The calm infinity pools at this Five-Star hotel cater to all tastes: swim in the 75-degree lap pool, relax in the 85-degree centre option, or remain warm in the 90-degree family pool.

The three spaces are separated by hedges, making each feel like its own unique experience. You will, however, receive towels, as well as water and magazine service, regardless of which option you select. For a tropical poolside drink, pick one of the coconut drinks.

Arrive early in the morning or late in the evening to watch the sunrise or sunset. The east-west pools were strategically placed to provide the best views for both.

South Beach SLS

The elegant, 8,000-square-foot oceanfront club at this fashionable Collins Avenue resort, is where SoBe nightlife meets Hollywood glam beside the pool.

It's essentially a Miami Beach pool party haven, with sushi and ceviche from Katsuya, delicious cucumber-watermelon margaritas, and bottle service, all to the beat of DJ-spun rhythms.

Monday to Friday, Hyde Beach is open to the public with the purchase of a cocktail or lunch.

Delano South Beach

Delano Beach Club, a sun-drenched facility that elevates your pool day to a whole new level, is another favourite seaside party spot.

The fanciful Philippe Starck-designed aquatic playground is located just feet from the beach and has designated spaces for floating and meditating, underwater music, and poolside cabanas with a personal butler. It converts into a luxury South Beach hideaway at night.

1 Hotel South Beach

Come to this Four-Star eco-friendly jewel and relax by the Cabana Pool if you're looking for some Zen.

This isolated place, perched on the third floor and surrounded by South Florida vegetation and a reclaimed wood terrace, is a world away from the glamour of South Beach.

Panoramic views of the ocean are also a plus. Non-hotel guests can hire a cabana to relax by the pool. The peace and quiet, as well as a full-service waitstaff that brings you meals, drinks, and other amenities throughout the day, are well worth the extra money.

Fontainebleau Miami Beach

This Forbes Travel Guide Recommended Collins Avenue icon provides eight pool options just feet from the Atlantic Ocean. The centre 614-foot bowtie pool (a tribute to famous Miami architect Morris Lapidus), a shallow family pool with a waterslide, and the Arkadia Day Club's adults-only pool and hot tubs are all highlights.

While there are approximately 1,000 lounge chairs to choose from, we recommend booking a private cabana to enhance your experience. Your dedicated attendant will offer rosé sangria or a pitcher of blood orange margaritas to keep you cool.

Tip: With an A Day at Fontainebleau spa pass, you can experience all of the hotel's enhanced extras even if you aren't staying there
